Ideal No. I-2752 Patton Tank - OD HP

I did say I wanted to post a few more Army vehicles before concentrating on other things. This Ideal Patton tank is part of the series of Ideal Army vehicles we've been featuring over the past months. Overall it's a nice tank but because of its contsruction, after just a little play wear, the barrel will end up becoming 'droopy' as plastic is worn away at the friction points.

This tank is based on the M46 Patton tank which was developed to replace the M26 Pershing and M4 Sherman tanks and was in service from 1946 'til the mid-'50s. The toy measures 7 3/4" (19.68cm) L overall, the hull = 6 1/4" (15.87cm) L x 3 3/8" (8.57cm) W x 2 1/4" (5.71cm)  H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
